Kennett Veterans Organizations Honor Fallen Heroes with Wreaths Across America Ceremony
The wreaths arrived in Kennett under a solemn and respectful escort provided by the Kennett Police Department, the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department, and the Boogaloo Riders, whose participation underscored the strong community support for honoring those who served. The escort through the city served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our nation’s veterans.
Members of VFW Post 5443 and American Legion Post 66 were present to receive the wreaths and ensure they were handled with the dignity and respect befitting the occasion. The mission of Wreaths Across America — Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom — was reflected throughout the event.
This year’s ceremony was made possible in part through the generous sponsorship of Walmart, as well as the support of Mark Brown of Bootheel Outdoors, whose contributions helped ensure the success of the Wreaths Across America program in the Kennett community. Their support represents a meaningful commitment to honoring veterans and preserving the memory of those who gave their lives in service to our country.
Events like this highlight the strong partnership between veterans organizations, law enforcement, local businesses, and civic groups in Dunklin County. The involvement of the Kennett Police Department, Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department, the Boogaloo Riders, Walmart, and Bootheel Outdoors demonstrates a shared dedication to ensuring that the sacrifices of our veterans are never forgotten.
Kennett VFW Post 5443 extends its sincere thanks to everyone who participated, escorted, sponsored, and supported this meaningful event. Through continued community involvement and remembrance, we honor those who served and preserve their legacy for future generations.
