Veterans in the Classroom: Local Heroes Share Their Stories with Kennett Students
Kennett students gathered this week in the Kennett Middle School gym and Kennett High School auditorium to welcome Commander Phillip Greenway and fellow members of Kennett VFW Post 5443 for the annual “Veterans in the Classroom” program.
The visiting veterans shared personal stories from their time in the military and experiences serving overseas, offering students a firsthand look into the lives of those who have served our nation. Their conversations emphasized the values of service, sacrifice, and community—helping students better understand the importance of honoring and supporting America’s veterans.
The event served as a powerful reminder of the courage and dedication shown by local men and women in uniform and provided students a meaningful opportunity to connect with those who have helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.
