VFW Post 5443 Recognizes Senator Jason Bean and Representative David Dolan

On Tuesday evening, September 1, 2026, VFW Post 5443 presented Missouri State Senator Jason Bean with a plaque in appreciation for his efforts to help keep the Kennett National Guard Armory open and prevent its closure and relocation.

The Kennett Armory has long been an important part of our community and has served generations of Missouri National Guard soldiers and their families. Its continued presence in Kennett is important not only to the Guard, but also to the veterans, families, and citizens of our area.

Missouri State Representative David Dolan was also present for the presentation, and Post 5443 expressed its sincere appreciation for his assistance and support in the effort to preserve the Kennett Armory.

VFW Post 5443 is grateful to Senator Bean and Representative Dolan for listening to the concerns of our community and working on behalf of Southeast Missouri to help ensure that the Kennett National Guard Armory remains a part of our community.

We sincerely thank both gentlemen for their support of our National Guard, our veterans, and the Kennett community.
